There is a limit of 50 pending friend request on TSU per week. The problem is when you try to friend inactive users you tend to waste time waiting on them to accept your friend request when they are never coming back. This is the method I use to get a lot of friends quickly while not violating any of the TSU rules. Most people just post friend for friend request or follow for follow which are both against TSU policy and can get your account banned.
This is what I do to get friends quickly on TSU. First decide what you will mostly post about. Are you going to post photographs, funny pictures, inspiration, cars or whatever other niches you might be interested in. Lets say your main focus will be photography. Go to the search box and search for a hash tag related to your niche, in this case search for #photography. Now go through the result until you find a photograph of something that you like, and has a lot of shares, likes or comments. You know that these people are more likely to be active and you know that they are willing to share view and like photography related post.
Now click the number icon next to each of the selections(likes/comments/shares), this will give you a list of the people who did each action. Send friend request to as many of these people as possible. They will likely friend you back. These people are also the type of people that you know like photography and they are willing to share and like your content.
